anyone willing to help a fellow reefer's buddy w/ some donations?

ive been helping a friend of mine get his 150 back into shape, which is part of the reason why ive been lurking the boards. when you're around reefs u endup staying tuned with whats going on the boards..or at least for me its been that way. he's at a point now where the tank is ready for some nice starter frags..nothing fancy just your typical run of the mill soft corals. anyone looking to get rid of some common frags corals for the beginner reefer? im sure when i eventually get back into reefs ill find some way to repay your for your generousity.
thanks

I can get some stuff together Alex. I'd be glad to help a friend of yours. You've been nothing but a super generous person to me :D

I got some torch, candy cane and chalice you are welcome to...I know not softies, but pretty bullet proof.

damn..u guys are cool. ill send u guys a pm to schedule something...let me know your locations to give me an idea where to go or what place we can schedule to meet. my friend is a beginner so he's pretty much open but i think if anything the softies are the ones that he'll appreciate the most.

Whats up, this is Charles in Pacifica. Would you want some frags of my orange Monti or I also have some large green Palys but just don't know how to frag em'. You could come by my place to frag em' if you like. Let me know.

hello everyone, I am new to this hobby, i don't have my tank set up or i would also help out and contribute. i just wanted to say it's really cool to see so many people help this guy! seems like we don't see much of that in this world today! i'm excited to be starting a hobby that has potential for me to meet some great people!

Actually this is making me cry! There is a small circle of us up north, about 4 of us, more like a square then a circle I guess, that actually share frags with no concern about money, or returning the favor.
Everyone else seems to have the expectation that you will either swap frags with them, or buy them.
In some cases I can expect that, but when talking Xenia, or a few mushrooms, who cares if I have a dozen, I'll give you a couple, but to see you guys offeringout Digits, and monties, SPS in general and LPS. You guys are awesome.
I hope our local club becomes that generous as it grows. Kudos to you all!

man....overwhelming responses here. i will send u guys a pm to figure something out. im usually at 3 points in the bay area: dalycity, san leandro and santa clara so hopefully the stops wont be too far from these areas..then again,i cant really complain.

the reef club is a good idea but that sad thing is my friend is probably not motivated enough to join and doesnt read up on the forums. ive helped modify his reef such that its very hands off which is better suited for him. hes the type of reefer that would rather pay someone to do the dirty work and just enjoy watching the tank. reefing maintenance and setup are not for everyone.

when i was really into reefing all i kept was sps. i also had a tight group of friends i traded frags with regularly to add variety to my tank and also for the added insurance in case i lose anything.believe me, dont risk hording a frag in hopes of keeping it rare cuz murphy's law will eventually hit that frag. too many of the hardcore sps guys have this mentality and end up losing stuff they have a hard time getting again. happy fragging..haha

also guys, please let me know if you have any red flatworms ill need to take care of with some FW exit or oomed i have laying around. my friends tank is pretty much clean of FWs so id hate to find out months later his tank is infested.
talking flatworms or AEFW is taboo huh? its like announcing to ur community you have an STD...LOL
they should call these nasties something for our reef tanks something.... RTP(reefer transmitted pests)? RTD(reefer transmitted diseases)? do you have an RTD? LOL

okay ill come clean now. ive had RTDs before and now totally clean(of everything, including a reef tank). I think any sps collector who buys wild and trades alot has had AEFW at one point or another.
