Anytone want a rare piece of dry rock?

to be honest with you a piece that size is not that rare nor expensive. the real expense it the shipping. I can get those wholesale for around $20 -30 but the shipping and packing is the real expense along with the chance of it breaking. retail is around 100-150. Good luck and its to nice of a piece to destroy. IMO

Where do you live? If you can ge tthese wholesale for 20-30 I want to buy some because I've never seen a 30lb. piece of rock in this hobby for that price. 1$ a pound, and dry at that, amazing that you can get this. Please send me some info!

those are real and you have to have an account to get the pricing as they only sell to wholesalers. they do sell larger custom pieces and they also sell rubber ones but the majority of what they sell are real. i got one a few years back that was the size of a coffee table and was like $50.00. but the shipping was like another 100 as they only ship ground freight. The last big order I placed included 12 boxes of various coral pieces and 300lbs of sand and it was $250.00 but the shipping was close to 700.00. so total with ship was 950.00

It's only the economy. That's a decent price on that rock.

well wet this rock would weigh a lot more, i don't know atleast twice as much, and my point was that at fujis the nicest rock is 10$ per lb. (that's what I meant by ten times as much.

actually 10X would be $1000, based on the $100 asking price.

well wet this rock would weigh a lot more, i don't know at least twice as much,

IMO...Water would add virtually NOTHING to the weight of this coral, so I think that you are getting a fair price for the piece. Congrats on the sale!

Oh I've lifted dry rock compared to rock which has been in saltwater, and trust me when you buy 100 lb. of live rock your not actually getting 100 lb. Your getting 100 lb. with the saturation of the water in the live rock which is VERY porous.
