Apastia killed my clown

In my fowlr I had an inch diameter apastia that I kept as decoration. Yesterday my clown was dead and the apastia had only one tentcle and dissappeared compltely today. Do you think it killed my clown?

I don't know about killing an adult clown but Aptasia have been known to feed on my clownfish fry learned the hard way to have them lay on tile/pots instead of live rock with a few Aptasia.
