Apex and Aquacontroller III Pro on the same wireless network.

Has anyone set up these two on the same wireless network? i got the Apex to work and are able to use he web enabled software. But I cant seem to connect to my Aquacontroller.

Here are some info:

195 Maintank - Apex controller, using a Netgear WNCE2001 wireless adapter and Uverse wireless router. No problem, i'm able to connect to my controller. Apex IP addres is set to 192.168.1.50.

Frag tank - Aquacontroller III Pro, another Netgear WNCE2001 wireless adapter and the same Uverse wireless router. IP address 192.168.1.51. Unable to connect to home network. My wiresless adapter has a wired connection into the controller and wireless connection into the Uverse router. The Uverse Router sees the new adaptor, but when i type in the IP address 192.168.1.51 into my the windows. it does not see it. but it see the Apex 192.168.1.50.

could anyone could assist me on this? thanks, Ed

I have Apex and Ac3 on the same network all working fine. Be sure to setup different IP addresses for each and I can't remember if you need to reboot the AC3 after changing IP but I think you might.

You also need to reboot the game adapter when you change the address of the connected device.

A few things to try/check....

Check that there is an active link between the AC3 and the WGA (green LEDs lit on the network jacks).

Open a command prompt on the PC and do this:
ping 192.168.1.51 [ENTER]

If that works (replies are received), check that that the AC3's http port is set to 80; if not, reset it to 80.

If you can't ping the AC3 and the port is set to 80, connect the AC3 directly to the router with a network cable if possible, and see if you can access it without the WGA in the picture.

Try swapping the 2 WGAs to see if the problem moves.

Thanks Ken and Russ. i finally got it to work. Its just a matter of rebooting my Uverse router.

Now, im able to connect to my Apex using the web base and to the aquacontroller using my iphone/aquanote.

You can use the iPhone app for both.

you're right, i use my iphone for both. one using the aquanote apps and the Apex using safari.

has anyone release an Apex apps yet?

The Aquanotes iPhone app works with Apex too. Just define a second controller entry.
