APEX and Wireless Router

this is me

I currently have an ACJr. It's a great little controller. However, I want to be able to control my LED in the long run so I'm looking at the APEX controller.
Does the APEX have the capability of connecting to a wireless router or do I need an external wireless card? I want to be able to connect to my wireless router which is down stair.

Also, for my current ACjr, can I get a wireless card and connect to the wireless router? I want to remotely check on my tank stats and control it.

Thanks
Nick

You need a wireless game adapter. Search the forum for that or look in the User Guide for information on how to configure and recommendations. Trendnet is one to look at and there are others.

For the ACjr, you have 2 options... use AquaNotes or use a third-party software package called AC2SERIAL. In either case, you'll need the proper serial cable to connect the ACjr and a computer, which will need to be on 7/24 for remote access.

As aquamanic mentioned, you need a wireless game adapter. Dealnews just posted a good deal on this one (which is what I use):

TRENDnet TEW-647GA for $25

I haven't had any issues since I updated the firmware about 3 weeks ago.

It's being discontinued, and replaced by a 4-port model. Newegg just recently cut their price from $54 to $25 and are already sold out. So get the good clearance prices while you can find 'em!
