Apex Controller - Details?

you obviously haven't worked in a setting where you get to deal with irrate customers becasue their products do not function/look/feel appropriate.

Chances are there were issues with the plastic housing that made the delivery to the Manufacturing Warehouse an issue, and not becasue someone just wanted to irrate thousands of potential customers by delaying it from it projected product launch.

The posts above have nothing to do with kissing a$s, and more about not wanting to have any issues after I get my unit. Now, if you would rather have an issue AFTER you get it, send it in, and wait longer, you are in the minority

Yeah, I would have to say that when a company releases a date to ship adequate time should have already been factored in to release a quality product.

sometimes they don't always go hand-in-hand
Absolutely true. Yet when they don't go hand-in-hand should a company get non-stop praise?

the beauty of America is that we have choices. If you don' like the delay, then I am sure there are plenty of RKE's that are available to be shipped to your door. If you want to wait like the rest of us, do so patiently

And you won't tell me how to wait, thank you.

okay...we're devolving here.

Yes, a company should keep it's commitments. I have worked in custom homebuilding and remodeling for over 20 years...sometimes stuff happens outside of your control (even with a fudge factor figured in). I've learned to give benefit of the doubt as long as there is good communication from the company.

It is what it is. Complaining about something you have no control over, like a company's product release date, is pretty silly. If people can't wait, there are other options.

Carry on. ;)

I am more annoyed by the non-stop holier than thou lecturing such as this more than the slipped release dates.

My post is a "holier than thou" one? No pienso. I don't think so. But I hear what you're saying otherwise. I stopped paying attention to those posts and am concentrating on the ones from Neptune. :)

well, to be honest, i doubt there is a person on these boards that wouldnt like to get their hands on the apex sooner, and they did promise end May...

For me, the controller is the last component of my build, and i was expecting to get it end May, as stated originally, which is why i went with the apex, otherwise, i would just probably buy a used ac3 pro, but i decided to be a test bunny for the apex, since its already here, or was supposed to be. I'm not going to change my mind now after the long wait, but it would be a lot better for me to have had it on the promised schedule.

Its a bit frustrating to be told of another and another delay.
we all understand this happens, but how people actually say that this is normal and defend Neptune is beyond me, all ah30k did was expressing his opinion which seems perfectly sound and logical to me.

a Delay is a delay, and is not a positive thing for most normal people.

just my .02

Actually....your upset because you sold your controller WAY too early and your having issues living with YOUR decision.

Nothing's perfect and this is something outside of Neptune's control. They'll get here, and I can't wait for some of the reviews, bugs, etc. etc. It'll be interesting to see the controller (for a good price).

I agree

Particularly with technology products, stuff happens. When has Microsoft ever delivered something on time?

I prepaid an order knowing that I was taking my chances on the delivery date. I'm not sure we were "promised" any date. Rather I think we were told an expected ship date.

I remember one notable exception to this from back in the early 80's when I ran a computer store. One day a box showed up that we didn't know anything about. It turns out it was an awesome new model that no one had known anything about and wasn't even announced until they had one in every store (It had DOUBLE-sided 8" floppy drives that could store 1.2 MB :eek1: LOL!).

Like Builder said, what makes the difference is how the manufacturer handles it.
