Here's a reply from Curt on another thread in regards to the EB8's...

Thanks D. Curt didn't happen to mention what the price of one will be, did he? I remember reading that each outlet is < $20, which would put it in the same ballpark as the DC8 I suppose. Since I'll be using it solely for my lights, maybe I'll stick with the DC8.

Maybe the wrong thread but here goes anyway... If I have two tunze pumps (one on each side) then do I need one 1:2 adapter cable or two adapter cables?

I'm just not sure about the V1/V2 and V3/V4 plugs.

You need just 1 SURFCAB2 cable. It got one RJ45 connector that will plug into the V1/V2 or V3/V4 Apex connector. The 2 DIN5 connectors on the other end of the cable will plug into the streams.

Okay so my order is in but I am going to want to hook this up to my network via the wireless. I am assumming I will need to use a wireless bridge, any recommendations on which would be the best for the job.

So with this device, it essentially makes the APEX wireless which then allows it to be hooked up to your home wireless network? If so, that is what I want to do since I would need at least 100ft of ethernet cable to run it thru the wall to my nearest hard wired port.

builderguy,
There are many enhancements to the programming language in Apex. Including:

- Sub second control.
- Virtual Outlets to create complex logic (no need to buy more hardware to get them).
- Enhanced hysterisys
- Default state of on all EnergyBar outlets.
- Power failure detection/action on each energy bar.
- Incredibility flexible wave maker configuration.
- More profiles for diming/variable speed pumps (16 vs. 7 in AC3Pro).

BigAirHarper,
I'd get the same brand wireless adapter as your wireless router, to ensure that there will not be any capatibility issues.

Sounds great Curt...the kinda stuff I'm looking for. Is there a manual yet that shows that stuff so I can wrap my brain around it?

We'll charge the $100 deposit between now and the ship date (no one has been charged anything yet), and the remainder when the unit ships.

Getting ready to pre-order mine, just one question. Does it (or will it at some point) have the capability to monitor salinity?

Yes, probe modules are in development for pH/ORP, Conducitivty (salinity), and dissolved oxygen.

Curt

Sorry for all the questions. I would like moonlight controll and simulation. Will any of the leds you make already be able to be used or will there be some new stuff for the apex?
Thanks
