Apex Controller - Details?

The existing lunar simulator/leds will work with Apex. Also AquaSurf, PX 1000, DC4, DC4HD, DC8, IO Breakout box, and the socket expansion will all work with Apex. Backwards compatibility is a major design feature. We didn't want to leave existing customers with incompatible accessories.

Something is probably wrong with the zip code or state ship to address, and so the ship rate calculator gets confused. I would expect the shipping to be in the $15 to $20 range.

Thanks for the clarification Curt. I can understand $15-20 but $37.09 or w/e just seemed unusual to me. Out of state residents aren't charged tax correct?

Anyway, I placed my preorder two days ago and got the confirmation email. When do you take the deposit and when do you take the full amount?

I would like to know for planning purposes

call them with order number to confirm it is in their system is my reccomendation

We aren't planning on notifying each person individually that your card will be charged the remaining balance. We will make a statement on reefcentral.com when we will begin shipping the Apex systems, and you card would be charged shortly thereafter.

What about the deposit? I ordered mine on Monday and still haven't had the deposit taken out.

We'll take the deposit when we get around to entering the web orders. So far it hasn't been a priority, and hasn't been done. Between now and the ship date it will occur.

If this statement doesn't prove Curt comes from an Engineering background I don't know what else would.

Curt, does the Apex work out of the box with a PX 1000? I saw your post saying that it works with the PX 1000 but I want to make sure that I will not have to buy anything else to make them work together.
