As it says in the setup manual this part(setting up email)will be the hardest. Yup...I agree 100%.(my impatience isn't helping)
Anyone know the settings for a Yahoo email setup? Have APEX Lite.

Email enable....enable or disable...?
SMTP server....?
SMTP port....?
From address...?
To address...?
Alt. to: address...?
Re-email delay(minutes) (ok with this one)
Email authentication...enable or disable...?
User name...(ok with this one)
User password...(ok with this one)
Email test...I assume this is checked off after you have all setting in place to see if you got it right.

Any help will be appreciated.

You cannot use Yahoo to send emails out from Apex. They don't allow you to send emails unless you are on they're website. Do you have an email account with your Internet Service Provider? Who is your provider?

tagging, I dont think ATT is being friendly either. IF FUSION was already live hopefully this would all be completely avoided.

There would be so many less of these threads if Apex supported secure email authentication... Then you just use gmail and be done!

If you have Comcast as an Internet provider, you can have the email forwarded to your yahoo email account. Also, on the alternate email address line of the Apex controller, you can set it to send you a txt message alert. The syntax for Verizon txt is
Phonenumber@vtext.com

Also, do not underestimate their support- second to none. Paul will work some magic on your system remotely for you. GL

Srry OP not intending to Hijack

I THINK I have gotten the port fwd but its not checking out via reeftronics. I hate hate hate ATT gateway. I keep getting port blocked response

Good luck I just gave up trying I will wait until fusion is out. Heck I tried just updating my firmware and missed a step and almost erased my whole apex from existence.

No I have a display I'm just dumb and didn't save my current settings prior to updating firmware plus it said not to do update via wifi or it may corrupt your upload did I listen No. Anyways just aggravated love the product don't love all the programming
