Apex is dying

Been noticing on the graph that my temp sometimes drops to 76 (have it set to stay between 77-78). Now I can't access the aqua controller threw DNS.

My aquacontroller has no lights...it's likes it's dead, then it'll start working again.

This thing is brand new with 4.03 firmware.

Curt wants me to send the apex to him.

what a PITA as this is controlling my whole system....not happy bout this one bit.

Curt will take good care of you and your Apex!

Good care would have been him overnighting me a new one. Now I have a major headache trying to control my heaters, lights, doser, ATO. It's had one week of use on it before it died. He even said in his email "if there are no lights on the Apex base module then it is broken". Well if it's broken send me a new one!!!!

I hope none of you have a problem with your Apex's....because Neptune's answer is send it in (on your dime) and let them figure out whats wrong with it....meanwhile you're up shits creek trying to control your tank.

I've had mine running for about two months now and it went up in smoke today... Walked in to my room to grab something and noticed a burning smell, then I frantically start looking around for something burning, to my surprise it was the usb ports that run from the power bar to the cpu (cpu side smoking)! I submitted an email with them earlier and will give them a call tomorrow. I know exactly what you mean about keeping all your $h!t going after losing such an important piece of hardware.

Couldn't help it had to see what the hell was burning.. It was one of the chips.

Apparently a voltage regulator was blown.

The apex is on it's way back to me but Curt didn't expedite the shipping so looks like I'll have it next Monday....ughh.

Sucks.

What did Curt say?

I just got my apex base unit re-installed and I can no longer access it from my dyndns account via the internet.

Any idea's?

Check to see the ip address did not change or the port fowarding. I know it's simple but its what I overlooked

Thanks guys.

Checked the network settings and Neptune must have changed them while they were servicing the unit.

It's working now
