Apex lost all memory???

I had a power outage last night and it went on for several hours long enough for my battery backup to die and the Apex to completely loose power. Once it came back on nothing would respond and the status lights were blinking so I unplugged power and backup power from the Apex unit and let it restart... once it came back online everything connected but the memory is totally wiped all my outlets and programming gone... And i had never made a backup (Stupid i know)

Any idea what happened here? Iv had an Aquacontroller since the ACIII and have never had such a big failure anyone else have this happen?

As im reprogramming thru Fusion it seems to be OK but i tried to log directly into the Apex, it asks for user/pass but then just says "404 Not Found". Any ideas?

Not sure what happened with the programming. That is the first I've heard of that happening. As for the 404 not found, it sounds like the IP address you are using isn't correct.

What else is new, poor support and buggy software/hardware. Thankfully other vendors are starting to pop up in the "controller" space. Neptune needs competition...

LOL... Not sure what you're talking about. I've had my Apex since they were first released in 2009 and not had any issues like this let alone run into buggy software or poor support. Anytime I have run into anything that I had questions or concerns about, an email/support ticket was all I needed and a got a prompt reply. In fact, the one time I actually thought I had an issues, support was remoted into my system the same day to check things out. Prior to that, I had the first generation AquaController that I bough new in the mid 90's. It served me well right up until the time I sold it when I bought my Apex.

As for the OP's firmware update issue, my suggestion would be to turn off the operating systems firewall. That is a common issue when it comes to doing firmware updates.

Sorry I didn't follow this up, I submitted a support ticket before posting on RC. Within a few hours I already had a response to my ticket via email. Iv used Neptune for years now and the few times iv had problems iv had great help from them.

Still not sure what happened but reloading web pages did help the 404 issue and I haven't had an issue since I lose power.... Now have backup file, PDF backup and a hard copy of programming :)
