The thing about having a tank that bugs me the most is managing wires.
So I built this extension on my Apex to facilitate wire management.

Yes, this time I'm really thinking things out carefully.
Made the sump extra roomy with parallel draining.



Payed extra attention on the 4 part container .

Reinforced the floor so that it's rock solid.



Used 1/2 inch Acrylic on everything.

Lots of room now in the sump.



That was painful... 144 connections with 14/7 gauge wire.



That was fun to make.

It's just a Giant Extension Cord.



You break off that little tab in between the screws and you have two separate circuits.

I'm going full AquaForest for this build But keeping Kalk in my top-off.
Made a couple of extra large net socks for the Zeo Mix.

Everything looks better with leds but I'm going full T5 for this one.
I have leds on my current tank for a year and a half now.
Not what i expected in coloring and growth.
Looking at the ATI Sunpower 60'' 8x80w.

The floor was really bouncy like a trampoline ,when I opened it up I found that the shims under the joists were all disintegrated ...



So i took 2x4 and flatten them out on one side .



H ad to take the Impact apart to fit in the hole.

Put it back together in the hole with the 2x4 pre-drilled and glued .
Shimmed it and screwed it in place.
Did that 10 times.
