Apex Set up

I received my apex last night.

I cannot get my computer to recognize the apex.

The Aqua controller screen is also blank.

The screen has no writing, just blank blue.

Is this normal?

Apex does not pick up the phone and I am awaiting a response.

Any insight?

Posted to the apex forums last night. No responses yet.

I love this site. I post here and three responses within an hour. Fantastic!

I am hardwired to the router.
Reset the EB8.

No change.

Looks like I may have to return this, which stinks as I am trying to learn and tweak before I leave town, which is the main reason I purchased the apex.

We shall see how apex responds in the next 24 hours.

wait for the apex forum to respond they resolve my issues very fast I would contact neptune first before you do anything. Theres a lot to an apex and they are very good at diagnostics. probably a stupid simple issue

There's actually a Neptune forum here, in the Vendor's subforum. If you posted there, pretty sure you would've gotten even more responses!

On the front of the Apex base unit, there's a little tiny light. What color is it? Orange or Green? Is it blinking?

Same goes with the Energy Bar you have plugged in... is the tiny light on the front of that Orange or Green. Is it blinking?

Status lights:
EB8 is blinking yellow/orange.
Apex is solid yellow/orange
Ethernet lights are solid green and yellow/orange.
No response from neptune yet.

And you've checked all the aquabus cable connections between the EB8 and the base unit? Have you tried unplugging/replugging the aquabus cables or using a different connector port?

The orange lights on everything means the Apex isn't even talking to itself, so that's probably why you can't see it on the network. If disconnecting the aquabus (USB-looking) cables and reconnecting doesn't work, I'd disconnect everything and unplug the EB8 from the power outlet. Let it sit 30 minutes or so, and then plug things back in, but don't connect it to your router until you see green lights on the main unit and the EB8.

To get it set up you need to run from the Apex ethernet outlet directly to an ethernet inlet outlet on the back of your router.

Thanks for the responses.
I had been hardwired from the start.

Finally heard from Apex.

Had to reboot my computer and reset everything a few different ways. Luckily my computer finally recognized the apex when I reset my router and plugged everything in again from start up.

Now I am off to programming.
