Apex Web Lock up / power fail

I have noticed that when I use the web interface, the page will not finish loading. When I close the page and reopen, I notice a power fail event is logged. Has anyone else seen this?

Here is one that I had when I was checking on the status. the status loaded fine and then on one of the refreshes, it locked up. It seems to happen on any of the pages, not just one.

Power Failed: Jan 05 2010 15:55:44
Power Restored: Jan 05 2010 15:56:14
Power OK: EB8_3 (3 Minutes - 03.6 Amps)

I am using the latest Apex firmware and the latest IE browser.

They might not be related. The EB8's sometimes need to be calibrated or they will think they've lost power but really haven't. Neptune can advise on that and fix remotely. On the XML pages loading, there's some threads concerning tweaking IE and Firefox on number of concurrent servers that seems to improve the page refreshing. Russ posted some solutions on this I think.

It sounds like the Apex is rebooting; can you confirm that the next time you see it? Are you running the latest (4.01) firmware?

I am out of town and will check when I get home on Friday. I don't know if you call it a reboot, but I can tell you that for items that I have "If Power Apex Off 001 Then OFF" (like skimmer and RO unit), the items are off for the time period. I am running 4.01_BA09. I know that pumps that are set to fallback on with no off time, continue to run.

It sounds identtical to an issue I reported to Curt that he is investigating. I'll get back to you...

This has happened to me a few times in the three days mine has been up and running. I assumed it was something I was doing wrong.

This has been happening to me about once a week since shortly after I got the apex. I hadn't noticed a correlation between the web page failing to load and the reported power loss but there is definitely a correlation between the power loss and my having been working with the web interface. I have reported it here a few times with no resolution and I have seen a few others report it. Thankfully in my case it is entirely harmless as everything takes up where it left off.

I used to have that problem with the original firnware, but the latest firmware seems to have fixed it. I still get the occassional web page that does not load, but it does not cause a reboot. When the page does not load, I go to the status page and then back to the desired page and that usually works. I often have an issue where the main menus won't drop down, such as with the Configure menu, but using the same technique as above fixes it.
