Apex Wish List

I agree 100%. And a premium cost it would be... Curt already said that he can't produce a wireless module at a competitive price - people would just buy the off-the-shelf models from the big consumer networking vendors like Cisco, Netgear, and D-Dlink.

The same concept applies to webcams/netcams.... there are already countless choices out there from the $79 cheapies to the expensive HD IP cameras.

You joking right? While it might cost him a little bit to develop it (wifi module) entirely, but their are plenty of chi-com networking modules that come in mini pcie modules, that could be laid down onto the controller, and since you can tell the apex is running an embedded *nix based OS, the drivers could be embedded into the device.

ie:-> http://www.amazon.com/Intel-4965AGN-Next-Gen-Wireless-N-Network/dp/B000RFPBQQ <- thats just one example, from amazon, chi-com probably about 5 bucks per unit.

Just saying....

I'd like to see customizable alarm statements on the display screen. Like say the top off containor is low, when you look at the display screen it will say "Warning, top off water low!"

Also VDM update to support AI's royal blue, and possibly the new Vega's when they come out.

Bradam,

The VDM currently supports the AI SOL Royal Blue. Just do an update to the firmware for the VDM and it will show up.

I had thought there was just profiles for the white and blues? Will check for an update when I get home though

Note, there's a box to tick to enable the royal channel after the VDM update; believe it's in the VDM module setup screen. Had to do it a grand total of once, so I could be incorrect as to the precise spot.

I like my Hanna checkers, but would much prefer probes! First, though, start with the Magnesium, there NEEDS to be an alternative to the eye dropper method!

How about a way to attach the Apex directly to a laptop for long term tacking of data. Also as someone stated earlier a real time update of info.

HARDWARE
-module that would allow usb webcam, or an apex branded webcam (water proof cams would sell like crazy!!) think easy timelapse photos of coral growth

+1!

ahhhhh! you have to go on the display itself, not the web, then there's an option to change it from standard to Sol Blue!

now there's BluLED's, wonder which is which lol

If you want Neptune to see something, you should call or email them directly. This forum is primarily users helping other users, and Neptune's participation in it is not very high.

How about they fix the graphs on the iPad app to allow you to add all the outlets and profiles like on the computer so I can look to see what turned on when I had a temp spike or an amp spike.... The history part of the app is worthless...

I agree on updates icons. Maybe a color display where you can download icons...printer functions would be killer...

How about this... A custom home page where you can set up graphs and things that you want to see every time you remote in? Kind of like how the eBay app lets you customize the home page...

How about something simple, making the OFFs on the status page BOLD RED and the ONs BOLD GREEN so they stand out. Or better yet make the entire line including the outlet name those colors. So it's easy to see what's on and off.

I would like suction cups also, however even better would be foam rings that floated, this would ensure your probes never fully submerged as suggested.

How about having a making a circuit fail alarm, That way when the apex loses power it can buzz, the current alarms are no where near loud enough to wake someone up in an emergency. Especially if power failure. Buzzers are way louder.

Make every option available on the web interface so I never have to try to squint and dig through tiny screens on the display module again =)

Like what? AFAIK, there are only two items in the display menus which are not available in the web pages in firmware 4.10 and newer. One is only for use when an old PX1000 is connected and the other is for a future feature.

I would LOVE to be able to comment out commands (or leave notes) in my outlet&profile setups.

+1

Kind of like "rem" in DOS... So when I want to stop an action for a week I can do it without having to re think things when I want to put the command back on.... Great idea...
