API Test Kit?

Has anyone had problems with the API test kits before? I have been getting what I think are false readings with some of the tests. I am going to get some different tests today...any suggestions?

Thanks!

They are not so good for low-end readings. I always got false positives on ammonia & unclear data on trates. If you are going to invest in good kits, I'd recommend the newly redesigned Red Sea kits for Ca/Alk/Mg and Nitrates and a Hanna Phosphorous (!) checker for Phosphates.

I think I picked mine up at Reef Culture? The stores with large dry-goods sections should carry it

I know its been said but try Reef Culture. I have noticed that they tend to have the best pricing in town.

API test kits are low price but low accuracy as well. You get what you pay for. Red Sea & salifert test kits are more accurate. to me it depends on what your setup is. for fish only or cycling a tank API is just fine.
