I had a CBB for a long time and no aptasia, but I had to pull him out because he started munching on acans

IMO CBB's are too finicky, I use Kalk. Mix it thick and I use an anomone feeder to hit them, this is about 99% effective if you get them good. I try to catch them open and feed them slowly, when they get a mouthful and retract I fill the hole and they are done.

My local reef club just did a group order from Blue Zoo for some "Aiptasia Eating Filefish"
They should be here tomorrow and I'll let you know how they are, i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Of course the lion fish would eat most other fish as well depending on mutual size.

I have a file fish and it took it about a week to eat what I had in my tank. I got it from another reefer I know that was done with it after it cleaned up his tank and he got it from a reefer that we both know after it cleaned his setup...
I am keeping it though - it eats everything and it looks super cool!

I've tried berghias. The only drawback I experienced is they may not fare well in tanks w/vigorous flow, as mine had. I never saw them again after about 2 weeks and @ ~11$/each, they're an expensive fix.

my local group gid a group buy on these any it seems nobody had any success with them. seems like the only sure fire way to get rid of them is by either kalk or aiptasia-x which i have had pretty good success with,

we had good success in a scorpionfish setup with bristletail filefish (Acreicthys tomentosus). they will nip at clams, but seemed to leave the few polyps we have in the setup alone. the female is currently in a setup that houses an adult fuzzy dwarf lion and several other smaller species scorps.

I've herd the file fish are not reef safe or that some Are not reef safe my lion is preaty well fed and leaves my wrasse alone because of it. I belive it's because he is eating silversides, but can you get filefish at a decent size so I'm sure not to loose them to the lion that is about 5-6 inches

I ordered 2 last week from Live Aquaria. Took them out because they ate some aiptasia and some of my premium zoas! Can't risk it so I am going with pep shrimp
