Anyone have any info on these? The few bits i can find are a year or more old and not very promising.

Thanks

Unfortunately these guys ship the most horribly of an already horribly shipping genus Apogon... I brought them in I think three separate times and gave up after the few that made it lasted just a few days... with hope though these will be available captive bred soon like the leptacanthus are now...

Interesting, thanks for the info, I had a nice group of them and then went on vacation and came back to zero. Had had them for quite some time and was looking for more.

If you can get them in good shape they cannot be that hard... and of course you're at an advantage living in Cali...

Yes. My LFS got two shipments, the first were great, and I bought them the second were horrible and i stayed away. I have not seen them since and the owner of that store has since sold it. Will have to keep my eye out again.

Are there people in the US breeding them?

I think there have been a few people that have been able to keep them and even had a few males carrying eggs, but slowly the school of them died off. It may just be that they have short lifespan's?

Even if you can get them in good shape, I doubt that they will do well in captivity.. Somehow there is something about them that we dont know... I tried twice, they arrived in good shape and very active, react well to cyclopeeze feeding... But they just slowly die day by day...
