Appropriate home for Mantis Shrimp?

I am thinking of getting some sort of Acrylic 5g aquarium...probably an Eclipse or Maryland (? on sp). What do I need for a Odontodactylus scyllarus and how should the tank be set up? This will be my first salt water aquarium and need information on Odontodactylus scyllarus and salt water aquariums.

I wouldn't keep a peacock in a 5g tank unless it is very small and then change it to a bigger tank when it grows. If its already 4-5" I would put it in a 20g or so. Here's information you should look at.

Yeah, I would plan on something larger than a 5 gal for a O.S. I had on ein a 5 for about three months, but was upgraded to a 26 gal.

Sorry this is OT...

What kind of turtle do you have in with your frog? Do they get along ok? I have a couple of african clawed frogs in a 26G.

He is a small red eared slider and since he is a lttle bit smaller than my frog (who is huge by the way) get along great! Sometimes my turtle will ride around on his back or vise versus. Sometimes my frog mistakes him for food but never cause damage just sort of lunges at him.

Do you have a basking area and light for the turtle? Or is it ok without? My frogs are still less than a year old so I'd probably have to wait some time before I could add a turtle, it's a cool idea though.

Yeah. He has one of those self leveling dock thingies. I also have a light that is the same heat and wattage as the big lights but fits into my hood.
