Just a thought guys but would there be scope for adding camera information to the entries at some point? I mean camera model, lens type etc...

To be honest I think you really need to know this to be able to fully evaluate a shot and it would provide a useful resource of examples of shots taken with specific equipment....

Just a thought.

most images do show that to the left.

I think that it would be better if you could not view the number of votes that a picture has received until the end of the contest. That way, voters could not be influenced by the number of votes a picture has received. Then at the end, it would be a surprize (I like surprizes).

Ladies and Gentlemen we have a winner!
Clippo's Mantis Shrimp photo is the winner of the April contest:

Congratulations!
The second place winner is Blazer88's Eel photo:

Congratulations to you too :)

Indeed. Just like exit polls are not released from E Coast US until W Coast polling booths are closed--or so I understand.

Off topic, but.... not true :). I distinctly recall the Clinton/Gore election. Here in CA, I hadn't voted yet, and Clinton had already won enough of the electoral college votes to have been declared the winner. I went to the polls with one vote meaningless before I even started.

Nice photos, everyone! Congrats Clippo and Blazer88!
