April E.A.R.S. Meeting!

Hi everyone, after some discussion I decided to start a new thread for this. I am not an "official" member but have been involved in the ongoing discussion about this. We are trying to keep this club/organization going so lets all get involved!

Aqua Escapes has graciously agreed to host the meeting again. Please just post again so we can all get an idea of who's coming. I think they have agreed to let everyone do a frag swap at that time, but I'd really like that confirmed. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing experiences. Hopefully by that time my tank will actually qualify as an aquarium and not a dust bowl .

Again, I'm not trying to step on toes, or be a hog, just try to fan a spark so a flame grows.

I'm going to do my best to be there. With gas prices now a days, it took $75 bucks to get down there last week. Not to mention my car has started acting up (again!). But I'm 90% sure Ill be there! I don't have any coral to trade but I look forward to meeting everyone!

she is good with a frag swap as johnny said. we will need to get a head count on those who are willing to bring frags. i will if others do.

will anyone be willing speak at the meeting?im going to try to do a small demo on fragging my rose bubble anemone if i can get him out of the tank.

Robert Plant and Allison Kraus are in Bham that night but I havent bought tickets so doubt I will go...I hate that though i would go see robert with the muppets

Priorities! It's a reef meeting Understand just keep us posted. I am really looking forward to meeting people and putting faces with names. Be forwarned, I can never remember real names! I'll have to ask 100 times

I just thought of something... It would be nice if Tammy could run by walmart or wherever you get those lil " Hello my name is " tags, so we can put our Handle's on it so people actually know who each other is talking to.!

i just checked my sons baseball schedule and he doesnt have a game on the 26th so that day is good for me so frag swap.. could we maybe list what we have to swap and see if anyone has anything that someone else wants. i have some orange zoas, pinkishred shrooms. one head of green candy cane and some type of leather i cant identify if anyone is interested. i am looking for some kenya and xenia if anyone has some they want to trade. oh i also got some green star polys too. they grow like crazy. oh and i am always welcoming anything that people have excess of and are giving away i am looking forward to meeting you guys at the meeting. ~Carrie

hmm...lets see...i have what was called a kenya tree but it is pretty big...then i bought a what was said to be a green kenya tree that i dont really care for anymore....i have a rock of green mushrooms, stubby finger leather, GSP, those 2 "kenya trees", lemnalia, some purple zoas, green bay packer zoas, purple fission zoas....i may be able to bring 1 frag of each pending other items of interest for me or other that may want to purchase

I'd like some of the purple Zoas for sure, the other zoas probably too. Like I said earlier, mine will be purchases not swaps yet . My son doesn't know he gets to babysit yet either . He was in AE today when I talked to him before work also as a matter of fact.

i have some nice fl rics, duncans,tubs blue zoos,armor of god zoos, a small aussie acan colony, kryptonite candy canes, few different chalices, fire in the sky palys, bambam orange zoos and lots of other stuff if i can get time to frag them.

im going to need a tank to put all this stuff in.

thanks....they were on a pretty easy rock to get off....the orange oxides i have are not that easy i tried to get some off it and was only able to get 1 or 2 off....but have tons of stuff now in my frag tank i cant wait for it to grow out...i just got some blow pop zoas, lord of rings, amor of gods, whamin watermelons, peach colored zoas, cooper colored, safecrackers, about 4 different colors of Rics
