Just updating the website this morning and thought I'd get started on the proper pointer to the next meeting. Who's hosting this one?
 
There are a few of us not going to be able to make it on the 21st... I know Matt, Mel, Geoff, and myself... Not sure if you guys want to try and make it a different date???
 
If you guys like, I can host if we do April 14 or April 21. I can't go to the 28th because of a conflict. My wife has given permission and will probably go shopping again while the meeting is taking place. Too much fish talk makes her ill. :)
 
I think there's no way I can make it to an April meeting.

I'm gone both April 14/April 21 weekends! In my experience...about the same number of people go if you change the date or not.

Zac the meetings are the third saturday of the month almost all the time.
 
I could make a meeting on the 14th, but not the 21st. We could see if another date works better, but unless it is going to be a huge difference in attendance, I agree with what several have suggested in the past that we should try to stick to the 3rd Saturday, as I'm sure some people try to leave that open for reef meetings.

14th no 21st for me... Oh, and 14th depends on me actually getting my taxes done prior to that weekend...
 
You still haven't done your taxes? Sheesh. I have already bought a guitar and a garage door opener with my refund. :D
 
REFUND!!!!!!! LMAO I'm hoping I only owe $3000... And thats after my quarterly payments... :(
 
Heh. I'll have a refund until the day my little $1000 tax credits turn 14 years old. :D


Everybody chime in as to whether they can make the 14th and/or the 21st. A few regulars have backed out of the 21st.

And can I assume it is at my house since nobody complained or otherwise wants it at their house?
 
Well, looks like it really will be my house. And unless the poll changes my mind dramatically in the next 24 hours, it will be on April 14th. I've always liked a meeting time of 1pm.

Now the important question: What are we going to eat? :D I do have a gas grill if you want to do burgers/dogs again, but I am not a master at it like some of you guys.

And will there be a topic at this meeting?
 
I can be at either meeting, but the 14th will probably be better.

As far as topics... I've got a HUGE piece of 4" PVC if we want to show some tips and tricks with DIY skimmers... not that I need one or anything, haha!!

I can even bring my CSS if anyone knows how to do the mods to it... that's one reason it's still sitting in the shed... impossible to tune like it is.
 
Since nobody has chimed in on food (I am feeling a little put out here), we can do one of two things:

1. Just bring snacks.

2. I can barbeque some chicken (mostly leg quarters and thighs, so about as healthy as a burger) and everybody can bring some related sides like beans and potato sald.


I will have the directions to my house up shortly...
 
Grilling out doesn't sound to bad. What time is the meeting? I'd be happy to arrive early and help with the grilling, if you like. I can even bring some sides, I'm sure. Baked beans... mustard.... ketchup.... I have a deep fryer I think I could borrow.... we could even do some steak fries.
 
Sounds good. Especially the deep fryer part. :)

The meeting is at 1pm. I have a covered back patio so we can still grill even if the weather gets a little stormy. Arrive a little early if you like. I'll be there.
