Apsthia in zoos

Peppermint shrimp are said to be hit or miss, but I have always had luck with them. Dipping it will do nothing to kill the aiptasia. An easy fix would be to inject it with one of the aiptaisa products on the market (Joe's Juice works well and it comes with a syringe) or inject it with kalk slurry, lemon juice, or even boiling water. The surrounding zoas may get irritated, but they should recover nicely.

And the peppermint might decide your zoas are as or more tasty ;)

I would and do use a thicker kalk solution in this case. Turn off the pump, coat, let it sit and either shake it off in a safe area or suck it out.

I just went through this problem with two frags I picked up. We used aipstaia X, pulled the frags out and zapped the aipstaia. Not more aipstaia and the zoas are doing much better. They will be very annoyed for a little while, but they will recover.

Seams like the answer is injection. How much is joes juice? In the thought of zoa preservation boiling water or lemon juice may be to much? Or am I backwards on that?

I like kalk and other thick solutions because it's precise, plus it's cheap. Mix it thick enough you can just get it into the syringe easily (testing kit syringes are perfect for this). Joes juice and even aptasia X are more like the consistency of milk. That allows the solution to readily move all over the polyps or disperse with even the slightest of water movement.

I used a Shrimp he was super super efficent. If he starts to eat your zoas you can always eat him. Just saying.
