Aptasia control in large tanks?

I have 2 peps in my 150 and have noticed the aiptasia going away "without" my help. I mean totally cleaned of the rock they were attached to. I have noticed since my last joes juice dose they haven't come back like before but only time will tell...
take it easy...

pearlscales will readily adapt to other foods, copperbands often do not, and ultimately die once aptasia is cleared.

I shuttle my pearlscale between my tanks to keep aptasia at bay.

pwhitby, will a Pearlscale go after the cluster dusters (small feather dusters) like a CBB will ??

Thought I'd do an update since it has been awhile now. The butterflys are keeping the aptasia at bay eradicated in the main tank, but still have aptasia in the overflow and sump. i am going to be changing my refugium and sump out sometime within the next month so that will take care of those, just as long as the tank stays free of the pest I'm happy. on the down side to this the butterflys have also taken a liking to my LPS and possibly my anemones. The pearlscale is the main terror, but the raccoon jumps in now and then. They have only gone after my torch corals, but several anemones are not coming out either lately. the only anemone that is expanded is the one the clowns have taken a liking to. Nobody messes with their home, including myself.

So in the end I guess it was a trade off, aptasia control for the sacrifice of my LPS. It was either let the aptasia kill them or let the fish and have no aptasia in the tank. I'll take the later. I will be changing out my plumbing, sump and refugium here soon to improve my filtration and hopefully get my phosphates under control. Once that is done I am going to try a small frag or two of SPS to see what the Butterflys do with them. I will update again after I get that going.
