What method would be best for dealing with this pest? Ha!

Usually I use Joe's Juice but maybe vinegar in this case?

god, ive got the same exact problem!

this suckers gotten bigger in the past few weeks and half of my colony cant come out!

eveytime i try to pick him off, or stab him with a needle, he curls right back into the rock!

i had two on the rock and before my pepperment shrimp kicked the bucket (that's another story), he removed the big one.

a needle and syringe and boiling hot water. go right in the rock with it. I have even stuck a tooth pick in the hole before:idea: idea

tried the hot water method.. worked... but for the other ones, I'll have to do it more than once.. I've also tried fresh squeezed lemon.. just a little on the syringe and inject it directly on the aptasia...

good luck..

I had exactly the same problem. A nacent aiptasia right in a next of zoos. I tried the hot water and syringe after asking for syringes at Longs like a smackfreak which worked on some but not the bastard in question. I got a peppermint shrimp and he cleaned up shop right quick. Maybe someone in your local reef club can loan you one?

I used kalk to burn them

I used kalk to burn them

mix the kalk with water until it turn into a slussy form. Use a syringe and inject a blob onto the pest. It should died out within a day or so

Joe's juice, just squeeze a tiny bit on top when it's out. Had this issue with 14 different frags I got from one guy *sigh*

The key is to do it really slow with pumps off if you can.
