aptasia problem

I have a tank with a few large aptasia in it. I was reading I can use kalk to get rid of them. I have a syringe with a needle (I work at a hospital) that I plan using.

What mixture of kalk/water do I need use? And when I inject it, do I inject into the mouth or the trunk?

Thick enough to make an impact, thin enough to go through the needle.

I drive it right into the base, whether it's through the mouth or through the side shouldn't make too much of a difference as long as you get it in there.

You can mix a little lemon juice in to give it bit more acidity call down the thunder.

You would inject into the mouth so it closes in after you inject. Although, IMO, injection methods also including hot water, lemon juice, or even red sea's aiptasia-x aren't very effective. They work a little, but it just seems to **** them off and they come back worse. An aiptasia filefish works pretty well with high success rate (A chance they may nip at corals too.) Some people have mixed success with other natural methods like copperband butterflys and peppermint shrimp as well. There's also a gadget called a majano wand that supposedly turns the cells in the anemone into hydrogen causing it to disintegrate rapidly. Never used it personally, but the concept behind it is kinda cool. Although, it's expensive at about $130 or so.

If the rocks can be removed easily then you might want to consider burning the Aiptasia off with a cigarette lighter.
