Aptasia

Theres an aptasia in my tank. How do I get rid of it?

I had a few in the tank that I just started and Joes Juice got rid fo them in a few minutes. Simple to use.

there's a bunch of threads on this subject. try searching on the subject. aside from joe's juice, people have used hot water, or shooting alkaline w/ a syringe into them.

For my 36gl I purchased 8 peppermint shrimp. Within 3 days I had no aptasia. Joe's Juice is only a temporary solution for me-there were places I couldn't reach and they would also come back within a few days.

I used a syringe to eliminate the 2 I had on a piece of LR. I filled the sryinge with a highly concentrated Kalk solution and repeated the injections for about 2 to 3 days, then I was able to pull off the entire aptasia with the syringe. Been gone for 4 months now. I think you could also angle the rock so the aptasia doesn't get much light, then it will extent more and will allow you to pull it out using the tip of the syringe.
