So here is my problem….
My Aqua C EV-120 skimmer is producing very wet foam in the collection cup, and it is spilling out of the relief hole in the cup. No matter what I do the foam keeps coming out wet. I have lost 2 to 2.5 gallons of water/wet foam in a 4 hour period. Last night I lost the same amount of water over 8 hours. There is no consistency as to how long it takes to loose the water. What I can’t seem to do is get dry foam from this skimmer what-so-ever. I have done the adjustments that the owners manual suggest such as close off the gate valve so that the water level inside rises into the collection cup then back off on the gate value until the water level is even with the water tower. Still produces wet foam. I have also tried turning the Air Value in small increments; this did not work at all. Anyone have suggestions as to how I can get the skimmer to produce dryer foam.
The owner’s manual also states that it takes up to a week for the skimmer to break in, I am past that timeline.
This is a new tank been running for 2 weeks, has live rock that was cured in a different tank for 3 months, and has 3 fish, snails, and crabs.
Sorry skimmer is located inside the sump using a Mag. 5 pump as suggested by the manufacture.
Thanks
