That is dark! Mine does that if I feed a phytoplankton or some other coral foods. Skimmers are really good at removing that stuff.

I've never owned an Aqua C, so I can't compare the two. I do however own a Bermuda 8C and I love it. I would say the 5C or 8C would work well for you.

Was the question about how much clearance is needed for taking the collection cup off answered? I am looking at the Bermuda 3-C and trying to figure out if it will fit in the 9'' w x 11''L x 27''H section in my sump. Does that sound like I could fit the skimmer and pump in there?
