I'm curious as to how high most of us keep our fixtures off the water and what we set the intensity at. My unit is about 16 inches off the water over a 20 inch deep tank. My AI ramps up slowly from 3% to 80% over the course of several hours.

I am thinking about increasing mt endpoint intensity or decreasing my ramp time to extend my optimal photoperiod.

Curious to see what others do.

My tank is 18' deep and I have my light 5' off the water line. I ramp up my lighting until I reach 90w 90b 90rb and hold for 5hrs and then reduce back down. I replaced the middle 40 degree optics with 70 degree to get a more balanced spread. I have had the lights for over a year and I would say replacing the optics and increasing the intensity and duration (5%-15min) each week produced good results.

If you go to equipment and lighting there is a ton of threads of this buttttt I have my 12 inch over a Elos 70 tank and moon from 12-230 the. 230-430 up to 65 over 30 min 430-630 85 over 30 630-830 100 over 30 then reverse of that till 12 - par is 600 water level 270 top sps shelf the. 220 bottom sps at 100 then 240 180 for 85 - I try for high par for 6 hrs
