I know there have already been reviews of the new store but I couldn't find them
I visited for the first time last night and thought I'd share my opinions.
First, it was rather difficult to find because the address is Genesee St. but it's really on Airborne Parkway. In the rush hour traffic I was delayed by not one accident, but two, so I had my eyes glued to the traffic instead of the Aqua Tech Sign. Once I found it the store was definately worth the effort.
For the size of the store the diversity of coral was amazing. There are not a lot of each type of coral but it had a very impressive selection.
The corals were healthy but some SPS were still browned. Growing tips made it obvious that they were indeed very healthy. The LPS Had excellent color and none appeared to have retracted at all. There were some gorgeous softies including show piece quality specimens.
All items were very fairly priced and there were even a few true bargains, I walked away with one of the best bargains though, a large rock covered with a Jakarta Mushroom variety I have never seen before. I did not take the other two similar rocks even though I was very tempted.
The fish selection was fairly low but the tank are very pleasing to the eye and are not overcrowded. I was also very tempted to take home some of the Tank Bred Seahorses for my next breeding adventure. I decided to set up a species tank for them first before making that attempt.
In summary, this new store is well worth a visit.
