What are you using to get it to open? I've gotten the mouths to pucker up but not open fully yet. They seem to respond to nutramar uva. I will be getting some reeds food soon hoping the newer oyster food and roti feast works on them. At Aquatic tech I saw the polyps and they were bright orange/redish orange.

Actually same process I do with stubborn sun corals.
  1. take a bucket and fill it with tank water
  2. remove the coral from the aquarium and put it in the bucket
  3. cover the coral with defrosted cyclopeeze and mysis
  4. cover the bucket
  5. leave the coral in the bucket for 30 minutes
  6. then put the coral back in the tank
  7. do this ever other day until the polyps open completly to the way you want

pending weather, Im headed to Buffalo area tomorrow, gonna hit http://www.areefcreation.com/store/ after I pick up my marriage license.
Ever been to it Mike? worth the extra hour drive?

Congrats! When are you going to get married? I have never been there. Buffalo is way off from me, about 400 miles, I am about 15-20 minutes outside of NYC. Store looks nice, a little small though, not sure if is worth the drive.

the white one? I believe that is a lace coral. Close to a gorgonian but different. Chuck had a really nice one that looked close to that. His was a little more "ratty" i would say, branches were less uniform and not brilliant white, but it looked real close.

my bad on the lace coral name, just looked that up. It's been awhile. I'll call chuck in the morning and get his input, just can't remember the name for some reason.

I am working on ID'ing it. I lent someone my bible and they haven't returned it: Soft corals and sea fans by Katharina Fabricius & Philip Alderslade. It is a must own book.
