Aquabacs' Cadlights Artisan 50 Azooxanthellae Tank build

Thanks guys! It is a process but it is getting there. Believe it or not there is 10 crinoids in there too. At the angle of the picture I couldn't get in the Distichopora and the silk due to their location.

Mike

Wow! 10 is a lot! lol How big are they? Don't they get really really big? Or did you get the smaller species?

Thank you guys again!

Moses, the largest is about ten inches if you were to lay it out and measure from the tip of the one arm to the tip of the oposite arm. How big are they going to get? It all depends on the type of crinoid.

whered you get them from

If I told you, I would have to kill you :) Actually, there are a few sponsors here on RC that can get them for you or even your local fish store. Crinoids are not something most vendors keep stocked, you have to ask for them or have them ordered special for you. They can be delicate, will deteriorate rapidly to sudden changes in the aquarium and do not ship well. That being said, they are also not normally covered either by anyones arrive alive guarantee.

Mike...killer pics! Wanted to ask you a question about your borbonious. How has your specimen been doing in your 50? I wanted to get one for my 75, but LA/DD has the minimum tank size listed as 125 gallons, so I've refrained from getting one. Just curious how your borbonious is doing in a smaller tank.

Thanks! The Borbonious is doing great; he is around 3 inches, eating like a pig, seems happy, enjoying his home, and is not stressed. There shouldn't be any issue with putting one in a 75 as long as it is kept cool and the lighting is dim to moderate.

You are welcome Clay. I will try to have another one up in two weeks or so.

Well off to do a water change on my tank. Happy Water Change Wednesday!
