Took this picture to show how big the FM LPS+ food actually is compared to a Archohelia Rediviva polyp.

The smaller size food would be perfect for this type of coral. It will also be interesting to see the effects of the smaller particle food with larger polyp gorgonians.

Was able to score up the Galathea inflata and Allogalathea elegans for my Crinoids off of LA DD this evening :D

haha I thought I saw that in the sneak peak! I'm guessing they don't steal enough food to make a noticeable difference?

They steal minimal food from the crinoids. I have been interested in if crinoids having commensal squat lobsters having any effect in their survivability in a closed system. On LA's site, they stated that there should not be more than one in the aquarium unless they are mated pairs. I have not noticed or witnessed any fighting by not having mated pairs. This may be because of the amount of crinoids in my system.

Thanks. I have two of this species & color. I am hoping by sometime in May to pick up another two green ones.

What is interesting is their fan pattern/feeding posture, as it changes based on the flow in the aquarium. This video was taken with my votech in feed mode. If the vortech was in normal operating mode the crinoid would have a flat vertical filtration fan shape.
