get the eheim... all there is to say.
especially since you already have the ev150. Probably the 1260 for that one, since the baffling of the newer style handles turbulence better. and there still is turbulence in the riser on my 180.
Somehow the foam overcomes it though and cranks out.
I've said a few times.. the ev180 with eheim cranks out 3 x the g3 on the SAME system at the SAME time. In fact the g3 gets first crack at the stuff being in the first section of the sump.
I'f were going to get ev180 with mag7 i'd say.. get the g3. the eheim is that much better. The sen 900 produced on my 180, was pita to get to produce and wasn't near what the g3 did.
Switched to eheim and she gives me 3 x what g3 does.
You can always test if is good enough by putting in extra organics, more food, such as couple table shrimp.
see how much more it provides in the day.
I think if you put the eheim pump on, as you're increasing your stocking, just keep a watch on your big 3, (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate) each addition should come with a small increase, but after a few days as long as your system is still up to par, it'll decrease back to 0,0, minimal. My system spiked to 12.5ppm nitrate after adding my blue throat and skipping a week of waterchange. But it was back to 2ppm the following week, and still 2ppm even though been more than a week since a water change.
