I have a 12g Nano tank with the hood. I forgot the brand name but it's something like the JBJ. It has four chambers in the back. The first has the intake filter. The next two are empty (used to have the carbon/bioballs and ceramic rings). The last has the return pump.
Nothing fits in the two middle chambers without cutting the chambers and the hood because most are too tall or wide. The USA Nano Fission might fit but heard that it's junk. Can I use the AquaC Nano Remora skimmer outside of the tank but not hanging? I was thinking of putting the pump it comes with inside the 2nd chamber and running a hose to the unit and then running a return hose to the 3rd chamber. I don't want to take off the hood. Would I need another Maxi Jet 900 pump for the return?
