aquac nano remora users help me

So I've had it up and running on my tank for over 2 months, and it isn't producing really any skim mate. Is anyone else using this and getting skim mate? I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I HAD one..... found it to not work to well.... kinda like what your experiencing

The only thing that might help is upgrade the pump to something that does more gph

on what sized tank? livestock? feeding schedules? is the pump recirculating the skimmed water? how often do you do water changes?

This is on a 7 gallon with a 10 gal sump. I feed frozen food, about 1/3 cube a day and a small pinch of dry food. Sometimes cyclopeeze instead of one or the other. I have a neon goby and a small clown fish. The pump input is on the opposite side of the output so I don't think it is being re-circulating the water. I haven't done a water change in a month.

i'm not too familiar with the nano version, but i'm guessing you could've "overskimmed" your tank, which is doubtful. whats the pump used? MJ900?

yeah it's a mj900, I can't understand what's wrong.

Is your only livestock the goby and clown?
It may be that there is really nothing much to skim out.

I never thought that there could be nothing to skim out. I figured since I fed twice a day there would be stuff to skim out. I guess I just don't know.

Is this skimmer on your 7gal tank??

If so. you can change 1gal of water and it would do more (to take out organics) than any skimmer.

yeah, I have the same skimmer on a 24g nano...it pulls out a few tablespoons of tea colored water every 2 days....your problem is that the tank is only 7 gallons. it simply doesnt have much to pull out....water changes are all u need to do...put the aquac back on the shelf until you upgrade to a larger tank.
