AquaC Skimmer

Hi anyone have any thoughts on AquaC skimmers. Im thinking of running the EV1000 on my 540 mixed reef with medium to heavy load.

I have an EV400 and I love this skimmer. When I was thinking of getting it (I got a good deal on a used one) the only downside people said was the electricity to run an extra pump. I run my with a mag 12. I like the simplicity of it too. It just shoots the water at a high rate of speed down an angled plate. Try to get the extra collection cup if possible, its nice to have, gives you a little more time between cleanings. And when I clean it I always leave a slight film in the main tube. This way it can get to the top a lot faster. Good luck with your tank!

Is the tank 540g or does that include the filtration?

Internal or external?

There are a lot of options on the market for that size tank. I would go for a pinwheel pump cone skimmer over the aquac.

I have an EV240 and a mag18 Never had any issues

Tank is 540 sump is 90 gallons plan on running it internal.

Check out this one. Price is similar once you consider the pump you need for the aquac but it is way more skimmer then the aquac.
