AquaConnect 400 Watt Problems...?!

Someone has mentioned here on the boards that the AquaConnect 400W 14K mogul bulbs in the last shipment have had some issues . That they are burning in at 8500k-9000k, and don't have their usual wonderful color. They definitely don't look right it has been stated.

Have you experienced any issues or complaints with customers and this beloved bulb lately...?

Have you heard of these issues or any problems with the AC 400watters...?

I was just getting ready to order when I read this...!

Hi,

Unfortunately we have had quite a few people with issues. Burning yellow is the main complaint. I can't remember if it's been the 250s or 400s though.

We have contacted Aquaconnect and still have not received any explanation on what the problem could be.

Any word yet from the makers of Aquaconnect? I was looking at ordering these too but am leary if they do not communicate with their dealers. Thanks!

We have had only a few bad bulbs since we started with Aquaconnect in 2006 & this is possible with any MH brand.
Please run the bulb for 100 hrs & if the color out put is not right we will have the vendor replace the bulb for you.

i have used a dozen of these in the past year and about 5 were bad...3 were yellow 1 was pink 1 was doa...but still love them
