AquaController Jr DC8 or X10 control modules

John,

You can fee up a couple more of your DC8 plugs if you daisy chain a small strip for your lights (unless you want to independently run them). That should free up #2, and #4 if you use two small strips for those.

Also, unless you plan to shut off your skimmer, you can just use a normal socket for that, which can free up one more on the DC8.

John,

I'd also go DC8 for the reasons mention.

Be careful not to exceed the total amp raties for each plug and for the total DC8 unit. I don't know how big your heater and/or chiller are but they could possibly exceed the limit for the DC8.

I think are adding the following to your DC8 so you can shut down your tank during feeding time?

3. Sump return pump (Pan World 50PX-X)
4. CL pump (Iwaki MD70RLT)
5. Oceans Motions Super Squirt Compact

Otherwise, you could free up 3 slots on your DC8.

Nice project!!

Scott

Scott,

The Iwaki runs on the hot side, so it is there so I can shut it down if the tempture exceeds a set value. I Oceans Motions Super Squirt Compact can be run dry, so I may pull it out of the system and direct connect it. The sump return would be for feeding time. As for the heater and chiller I have not decided what I am doing yet. I will only add a chiller if I can not keep the temps in check with turning off the MH and CL.

John
