Aquaculture rules for old saltwater

I'm going to be starting an aquaculture facility soon, hard to find info on the internet.

I'm sure it's area specific, most areas probably have their own rules, but I'm wondering what the general idea is behind disposing of old saltwater.

I'm pretty sure most cities/counties/states etc frown on dumping it down the sewer or down the drain in any quantity... so what's generally the acceptable method?

I love the concept, great for security

I live in a rural location so no drains to dump it down, we were made to take it back to the sea. PITA

How much water do you move with your shipments out? I would imagine after you get established, assuming a wholesale environment, a lot of your water change requirements would be taken care of by that.
