Aquacultured Ocellaris & Anemone

Will tank raised clowns ever take to an anemone?

I have two BW Ocellaris. They were raised in a tank absent of an anemone. And the anemone I have is an LTA (it was given to me) - not a "natural" anemone for this fish but also from the Indo-Pacific. However, the fish aren't from the ocean so they might not have any preferences. No matter, the anemone was free.

Anyway, I wasn't sure if the two BW Ocellaris I have will host the LTA when they make it out of the QT. I did not know if they would even KNOW what to do with one.

Your thoughts?

Your clowns may or may not take to the LTA as a host, but it won't have anything to do with the fact that they are captive bred. There are plenty of people with captive bred clowns that host immediately, some that take a few months, and others that take almost a year, and still others who never host an anemone at all. Plenty of wild-caught specimens are exactly the same way. It depends entirely on your particular fish and your particular anemone if they will form a relationship. Good luck!

yeah sometimes they take it sometimes not but give it time my fist anemone they accepted it with in 3 day but my sencond one it took them about 1 month
