Fantastic pieces , we cant get anything like them in the UK. tagging along to watch the progress and them growing out.

And I agree regarding the T5s on the Spectra. Actually, if I go that route, I'm gonna remove the T5s and replace them with LEDs. I won't need the T5s with the 250w or 400w metal halide.

Wish ATI Powermodule has a 6-bulb/LED combo. I feel like a 4-bulb fixture isn't sufficient to power an SPS-dominant reef tank.

We'll find out because I'm going from spectra to 4 bulb hybrid powermodule. I just saw a video I think at INTERZOO? Where they were showing off a 6 bulb hybrid. Heres a link...

Took the day off to work on the tank!

Added 20lbs of Reefflakes live sand and live rock! 😁

Thanks!! Livestock will be added in 10 days!! Cleanup crew first, then fish, the ricordeas, then euphyllias, then SPS around Sept-Oct!

Making a floating canopy this weekend.. I've decided to go with 6x24W T5s and two Reefbrite XHOs.. For now!

Are you using AF bio s? I started last Monday and the tank looks like I'm getting a diatom bloom. So it's been 8 days.
 
Looking forward to your build, the plan sounds great! Congrats on many levels to you, most importantly the birth of your daughter. But, also congrats on job and new home, really stoked for you and your reef!

Great choice on the lighting. You'll love it. What bulb combo do you think you'll go with?
