Aquahut???

I was there last weekend ...I'm not sure if they are finished with the upgrade or not but they have put another row of sw fish tanks down the middle of the store that I don't think were there before. And to me the store is looking alot better than it was ..It seems to me Don is leaning more towards fish and less towards corals as he had very few to select from.Unless I was there before he had gotten any new stuff, not sure.. I have always gone there for the best prices on the drygoods which are very close to internet prices on alot of items. And also for the help that he and the rest of the staff provide. To me it's invaluable to go to a store that actually have people that are freindly and don't look annoyed when you ask for help or pose a question.... I went there for something for a project I was doing and Don was willing to talk and try and come up with a solution which would work
Let's face it, we all have our favorite (and least favorite) stores, it's only natural to assume that store employees have their favorite (and least favorite) customers. While I believe that any customer deserves good advice and good service, it's only natural for people to act like people. I deal with my boss' customers every day. There are some I don't like at all, and I'm sure that shows in my body language. Other guys deal with these same people, and like them. There are customers they don't like but I do. I'm positive that the same thing caries over here.
There are just places where you fit. My favorite LFS (Fishy, Inc) is not even close to local for me, it's about 30 miles away. I go there more than anywhere else, because that's where I "fit"
Back to Aqua Hut, I'm going to make it a point to get there soon. I've heard too much about the store to not check it out.
Just guessing about your "leaning toward fish" observation, maybe his invert system is not fully cycled yet?

whats a matter larry affraid you will find a new store where you will " fit" that is farther then fishy.....lol
i was there a week or so a go its not done from what i saw but is coming along nicely. looks clean and well organized now.

My boss is in Aquahut all the time, but he lives in Mount Sinai. The trip is easier for him. He loves Don, and I don't think he'd ever walk into another LFS.
I can swing through Coram after work one day, it's just gotta be the right day. Being a Daddy ties up a lot of my time. I can actually go through Bayshore on my way home, and still pick up my kid on time.

It is coming along as of last week. I know they are working on getting the coral tanks ready and will have a bigger selection than in the past. They have also set up a separate row of tanks for new arrival fish that will essentially be QT tanks. Awesome plumbing job from what was decribed to me.
