Aquairum stores...

We had a big aptasia problem about a year ago, we got 4 peppermint shrimp and they cleared it up. they didn't start eating them right away, not till about a month after we got them.

If you're ordering from reeftopia, I would be interested in some snails & hermits, and a pep shrimp, depending on where it's being delivered to.
 
Yeah, I sucked it out of the pot on the stove, and ran to the tank in the livingroom.

If you guys are going to order let me know as well, I would be interested in some hermits and snails as well. If anyone want to go in on a cleaner crew and split them let me know. I will go halves on a crew.

I'll proly get at least a gramma for every tank, and a few other things... thats like 5 grammas for sure, and I have to look at pygmy angels...

I just lost my CBS upstairs... maybe one of those, and I'll have to see if they have and Blood shrimp... I like those...

Debaser ~ The best way I know how to get rid of or control an aiptasia is with peppermint shrimp and a small tank set-up.

I have experimented with Berghias and they are expensive and delicate. You will have to alter your flow by screening all intakes. You will need several ~ at least 1 per 10 gallons. Eventually they will die and the aiptasia will come back. In many cases it is possible to get a generation of Berghia offspring but getting a second generation is tough as there usually is no longer enough aiptasia to sustain another life cycle.

By setting up a seperate tank say a 20g. or so you can place infected corals, rocks, etc. in with a higher concentration of shrimp. In many cases the corals, etc.. will be picked clean over night.
 
The 300 is officially drained and wiped clean. I have already started to buff the inside ans I think this will be a kick a@@ tank when I'm done. Of course, this means that I no longer have a place to float a reeftopia order. Does anyone want to take controll of an order from somewhere?

I got some rock from this couple in Manitowac and they had allot of them in it and the green bubble algae. I think it was Pet Supplies that I got an aiptasia pack from it was so many peppermints and a Copper Band Butterfly. Best thing I ever did. I don't have any in the main tank any more there are some in the sump and in the overflows. I am sure he also takes care of some of the beneficial worms I used to have in the tank and the snails antenna but I don't see him buggin anything else.
 
Hey stopped in at Animal Adventures or Pet Adventure, I don't remeber I think its the lader of the two but anyway I love what they're doing there with the frags! I picked up some Zoos for like 20 bucks and they look awsome in the tank. Keep it up!

Do any of the stores around here take trade-ins of coral for store credit? I have a huge rock of GSPs that I really don't want anymore.
