Aqualifter pump konked out on me

Hey all,..

I Have a JBJ ATO system with the two sensors and a Aqualifter pump. The head height that I have it on is 28" and the pump said that it has the *ability* to push up to 30" of head height.

My tank is up in a corner, and I can't necessarily put the ATO reservoir next to the tank, since the sump is located in the back of the tank like a biocube. Is there any other pump suggestions that can push water up through an airline tube? I just need to fix this pretty soon, since it's getting annoying to have to top off every 12 hours without fail.

litermeter can do it, and pump it up several stories if needed...or just keep a spare aqualifter as they are super cheap

a litermeter? Ok, thanks for the insight! I guess I was just using the wrong piece of equipment! Thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah, that might be a little more money then I want to put into a pump to top off my 10g tank.

How about a BRS auto doser? 89.99$ doesn't seem like a bad alternative...

Then again, it seems like I could take that money and have some glass cut for a new tank with an actual sump...

aqua lifters are pretty much the best bang for the buck...i would just buy 2, and always have one on reserve... i use them to feed my ca reactor and sometimes they last for several years, others only a few months, either way they are pretty darn good little pumps and the fact they can run dry and still work is really awesome

I have had an aqualifter or two bought used. Not sure if bad, or just weak, or what. But were not working reliably when pulling water through like 20 inches.

If I had 2 working pumps, could you actually hook them end to end. (Tube, pump, tube, pump, tube) to increase their power?

Just replace the baffles in the aqualifter, BRS sells them for a few bucks, and it will work like new again. I keep an extra set on hand at all times.
