I have not heard good things about that light. I think someone said it has No UV protection and fried thier corals. I have seen it and don't love it.

I like these for same money. I own the 25o hqi

It's weird, this is one of those items Nobody seems to have, no one I know has heard good things, but most stores are backordered.
It's one of those great conundrums. I hope to hear from someone who has had them for awhile. If these aren't the wonder product I'm hoping for I'll have to go the suspended from the ceiling route.

someone has it and posted thier dislikes and I have seen it on others tanks.

I think sellout had one, but I am not sure if it was him.

I had one for about 6 months and really liked it. It is only good for about a 24" long tank, though. The reflector is only as long as the bulb, so it didn't light the corners of my 30G. Overall, I really liked it and so did my corals. I got a really good deal on a 250W pendant, so I got rid of it. I would recommend it. It does have a UV shield around the bulb.

it makes a little noise when it starts. Than it is very quiet. It is in my bedroom and I don't hear it at all. It looks better in my opinion as well.
 
I have one on my 29g. It looks nice, has a UV shield, it's got lots of articulation, but ...it leaves definate shadows on both ends of my tank. It's a decent light for the right application. If your tank is 30" long, I don't recommend it. Try to see one in operation before you buy.
