Aqualight Pro 24" Question

I was looking at purchasing an Aqualight Pro 24".

I wanted to put it on a standard 24"x12" aquarium. I just noticed the specs say it is 24" x 15".

So my questions are:

-Will it even sit on the aquarium properly(using the legs provided with it)?

-If it doesn't fit it can be suspended above but either way don't you think is will look stupid being that it will overlap by 1.5" on the front and the back?

-Has anyone used one of these on a standard 24"x12" aquarium? Your feedback appreciated.

I have this unit on a 24x18 tank. I like it a lot. I used to have the 48" version and never had any problems with it. The bad new is, the light would not work on a 15" tank with the legs provided. The problem is the legs flare out, making them wider than the light. The good news is, it would not look weird to hang this light over a 15" wide tank. The light's case is tapered, making it look less wide. If I were you, I would buy this light and hang it. Here is a pic of my week old tank with the Aqualight Pro

Thanks for the info.

So if I did want to use the legs the minimum width of the tank would have to be about 16"? or more like 18"?

Is your tank custom made or is 24" x 18" a standard size.
