Hi, my name is Matt, I live in CA and have a 4 month old 90 gallon AGA reef tank. Currently I have a mixed reef, but soon hope to make it more of an SPS dominated tank. For lights I am running an Aqualight Pro system. It has 2x150 DE bulbs. I have replaced the bulbs to 10K ReefLux bulbs. It also has 2x96watt PC. I am using an Oceanic Sump 2 with an ASM G2 skimmer. Right now most of the SPS I have are just frags. If you see anything in the tank that you would like to see a close up of let me know

Interesting.... What is that in the last pic. It looks to be a clown though not one like i've ever seen and ive seen alot. Also what type of blenny is that in the third picture?

Thanks newreefbishop!
That clown is a misbar clown and normally its just that the bars dont connect but this one looks like a saddle back clown. I really like that clown. The blenny is an orange spot blenny.

ya it is definatly a keeper. It doesnt look anything like a saddle back to me. I'd say it to be a misbar perc or something in that general area. I just took my Pair of clowns back to the store today.... they were nice though they eat to much and they are getting a bit big.

Were your clowns percs? or something else? I know they are Misbar Percs, but the way thier stripes are makes them kinda look like a saddle back.
Thanks Andrew!

my clowns were Black Ocellarus... One was near perfect with one misbar on the one side and the other was perfect bar wise though it had a very tiny bit of orange in the face and a tiny bit of a jaw mutantion. Other than that they were great.

they were 2'' When i got rid of them and they started at about 1, 1 1/2''. I just want to get smaller fishes now as the nitrate problems im having. I traded them for a peppermint hog.

the peppermint hog doesnt get much larger than 3'' and i couldent resist a rare fish like that and the sweet red that it has.

It was my old bicolor blenny(went carpet surfing) in an urchin shell. My current blenny hides in a dead clam shell that I put in there.

umm this hog fish is coral safe. though it will prey on small shrimps. Im trying him out in the 65 with 4 shrimp of moderate size. 2 Lg cleaners, Md-Lg 1 blood red cleaner, 1 coral banded aslo quite Large.

The only thing I would change is to get a bigger tank. Looks like you got this figured out pretty well. Nice job

Oh really I thought that they wernt reef safe. Thats cool though!
Yeah, I would really like a bigger tank, I wish I could have gotten a 120 but it would have costed 1k more just for the tank stand and canopy. Thanks!
