Aquamedic Ocean Runner 3500

I was wondering if anyone has one of the above pumps. It is rated for 900 GPH (600 gph @ 6 feet, which is what my pumping height will be), and it only uses 65W. I have an Eheim 1262 for my current return, and it uses 80 Watts. As I am always looking to cut down electrical consumption in the tank, I was interested in trying one of these out, but, am not really familiar with AquaMedic's products. Can anyone give me some guidance here?

Thanks..

I have two of them, actually I have three AquaMedic OceanRunner pumps in my system. My Turboflotor 1000 classic uses the 2700 and both my return and closed loop use 3500s. I think they are great pumps and I have had occasion to contact customer service and was very happy with the service they gave mealso.
I was using an external Quiet One 4000 on the closed loop until just recently when it started popping my GFCI circuit. I don't know what happened as I cleaned it in vinegar and looked at it closely and it appears to be fine. I had a second 3500 as a spare so I decided to install it on the closed loop instead of buying a new pump. The configuration of my existing plumbing would not allow me to install it as a direct external replacement so to save room in the stand I put it down in the sump even though it is hard plumbed on both the suction and discharge side.
The AquaMedic must run .much cooler than the QuietOne did because that is the only change I have made and my make up water consumption has gone down by 25%. I normally add 5 gallons every 4 days. I have now been 4 days and I am still about 1.5 gallons shy of having to add water.
Granted this is the first week like that but again that is the only change I have made in probably a year so I hope thats what it is. Less heat is always a good thing.

The OR is an excellent pump. I have 2 of the 3700s as needlewheels, and a 6500 (1700gph) as a spare CL pump. They are a 'poor man's' eheim, and dont seem to be any lesser in quality.
